Let us introduce ourselves!

The IQ Roma Service, Civic Association, has been active in Brno since 1997. The association began working on a new profile in the year 2003 with the aim of building a modern, functional, flexible, and fully-professional non-governmental, non-profit-making organisation that could become a credible partner for citizens and public administration in Brno, the entire region of South Moravia, the Czech Republic, and the European Union.

Our Activies and Programmes

The group's activities follow two fundamental paths:

  • civil activity;
  • direct and indirect professional service.

It is the group's aim to support various activities of citizens and groups in terms of acquiring and applying their rights and facilitating an environment in which there can be common decision-making on public matters.
In terms of its professional activities, the organization's aim is to stimulate and support possibilities, opportunities, activity, and sheer will for socially weaker families and individuals along the road to their comprehensive social development and growth, to protect their rights and maintain their dignity, and to increase their level of knowledge and readiness for action. This we do in order to try and change the situations such people find themselves in. The organization maps out and analyses the needs and resources of local communities and can therefore focus its activity on stimulating social, economic, cultural, educational, and work opportunities and the success of individuals and families from the Roma community and from socially weaker groups, people threatened with social exclusion.
