IQ Roma service, civic association, is funded by projects. Projects are necessary technical and financial bearers of the programmes of complex work with family - we thank all our donours to enable their realization.
In the context of ESF financial sources, the incentives of Equal community are interesting mainly due to their emphasis on the innovative elements which will be used as a basis for activities of project schemes in the area of development of human resources for the period 2007–13, mainly OP LZZ, OP VK and IOP. IQ Roma service used this opportunity through the idea of complex work with family. We managed to create a product which was assessed successfully and enabled extension of the IQRS social work programme by educational and motivation activities for young people and employment services for long-term unemployed persons.
The Centre of Community and Field Social Work (CCFSW) is a continuous IQ Roma service project and represents a basis for the CCFSW Programme that in 2011 started its tenth successful year and keeps spreading throughout the South Moravian Region.
Resources: European Commission and Government Office of the Czech Republic 89%, Open Society Institute 11%. By its content and realisation, the activities of the Project increased awareness of basic values of the European Year of Equal Opportunities (EYEO) and inspired the young, professionals, vulnerable groups as well as politicians to support good relationships between people and to fight against prejudices.
With regard to our experience with employing people of the Roma origin, the IQ Roma service team has been carrying out this one-year project called “Adoption of Non-Discriminatory Approaches”. The target group of the project concerns potential victims of discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, employers and authorities engaged in the labour market.
The project aims to create conditions for professional and personal development of young generation of Roma. The project has the activation, preventive, educational, informational and advisory level, which promotes and develops awareness and vocational skills and adaptability, thus the applicability of the Roma in the educational process and subsequently in the labor market. The project focuses on supporting and activating the generation of adolescents aged 10 – 18 and their parents.
The basic goal of the project is to empower long-term unemployed people or people threatened by unemployment from the socially excluded Roma communities in the city of Brno and other towns of the South Moravian Region to participate in the standard socio-economic networks.
Its target group consists mostly of young Roma people between 10 and 21 years old from the socially excluded Roma communities in the city of Brno and other towns of the South Moravian Region.
Project Centre of counselling and Employment ensures financial resources to provide the specialist consultation for socially disadvantaged clients mostly from the socially excluded Roma communities in the city of Brno.
The transnational cooperation project “Together and Across” is focused on the support of experience and good practice exchange among the project partners in order to promote social inclusion of the socially excluded people, especially the Roma. The project has been implemented within the ESF Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment since 1st June 2009. The transnational partnership involves organisations from five EU Member States.
Project "Promotion of informative and participative approach towards understanding, assessment and formation of National Action Plan on Social Inclusion in the Czech Republic" ("NAPSI Together!") realizes the IQ Roma service, civic association, within the European Community programme PROGRESS 2007-2013, since 1. 1. 2009 till 31. 12. 2010. The project “We want to go on” followed up the long-term cooperation with primary schools in the issues of job guidance counselling for pupils. We created concepts of mutually interconnected workshops for the pupils of the 6th – 9th grade which were focused on the personality development of pupils, cooperation in the group, setting of personal tasks and support of pupils in the matter of selection of their future profession.
The main goal of the project “We can do it!” is to strengthen the area of financial management in the organization, to strengthen the powers, knowledge and experience of the employees in the organization.
Since January 2007, IQ Roma service has been implementing a project “My life – My choice, Programme of the New Prospects of the Young Roma Generation.” The project activates and develops the potential of the strategically important generation of young Roma.
Project was funded from the resources of the Statutory City of Brno. A subsidy for a specific purpose for 2006 was used to improve the conditions for the clients of the Centre of Education & Centre of Motivation and Stimulation and the Centre of Community and Social Field Work of the IQ Roma Service - Hybesova 41 branch.
